Keep it real, keep it respectful
Talmbout is a space for Black voices, perspectives, and conversation. We don't need a 50-page rulebook because we trust our community knows how to show up. But here's what we expect:
What we stand for
- Authentic dialogue — Say what you mean. Disagree with respect.
- Cultural context — We speak the same language here. Use it wisely.
- Protect the space — This is ours. Guard it like you would your own.
- Accountability — Your words matter. Stand on them.
What we don't tolerate
- Hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any form of bigotry
- Harassment, threats, or targeted attacks on individuals
- Misinformation spread with harmful intent
- Spam, scams, or exploitative behavior
- Impersonation or identity fraud
- Content that exploits or endangers minors
Moderation philosophy
We believe in community-led moderation. The people here help shape the culture, call out what's not right, and uplift what is. Moderators are here to support that, not control it.
Decisions are made with cultural context in mind. Not every disagreement is a violation. Not every joke needs explaining. We trust our people to know the difference.
Report something
If you see something that violates these guidelines or makes the space unsafe, report it. We review every report and take action when needed.
